NSO expects Indian financial system to contract by 8% in 2020-21

The GDP progress of India throughout 2020-21 is estimated to contract 8 per cent, as per the second superior estimates projected by the National Statistical Office (NSO). This was 4.9 per cent in 2019-20. NSO had projected a GDP contraction of 7.7 % in its first advance estimate.
