World Urbanism Day, often known as “World Town Planning Day”, is well known on 8 November globally, to recognise and promote the function of planning in creating livable communities. WUD is organised by the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP).

The day was based in 1949 by the late Professor Carlos Maria Della Paolera of the University of Buenos Aires, to advance public {and professional} curiosity in planning. World Urbanism Day gives a possibility to take a look at planning from a worldwide perspective, so as to draw consideration to the environmental impression ensuing from the event of cities and territories.
