The famend economist from Assam, Dr Jayanta Madhab handed away. He labored as monetary adviser to Calcutta Metropolitan Development Corp and has served as a director on the ADB. He was the founder chairman of North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. He was additionally the monetary advisor of the Chief Minister from 2003-2009.
